Bexley Council Schools
New sports facilities for four schools in Bexley
Blakedown Sport & Play have been employed by Bexley Council to construct four new multi-use sports facilities at four different schools in the area:
Hurstmere School: A new build full-size sand-filled artificial sports pitch using Edel LSR 24mm synthetic turf, with 5 metre high weldmesh fencing, kick boards, and 1.2 metre high spectator fencing Blakedown also installed full floodlighting system and erected coach shelters, goal equipment, and constructed surrounding footpaths.

Woodside School: Two green porous polymeric MUGA’s (25mx17m & 31mx17m respectively) with lines for 5-a-side mini-soccer, basketball and netball. 5m high weldmesh fencing with 1.2m high rebound boards, pitch divider netting, and new floodlighting system were also installed.
Trinity School: A new build 70m x 50m sand-filled LSR pitch, line-marked and equipped for hockey, football and tennis. Blakedown also constructed 5 metre high weldmesh fencing with kickboards covered in rubber and sports turf for noise absorption, dividing nets, floodlighting system and completed the project with a new tarmac car park and entrance way.
Westwood College: New build 49m x 37m porous macadam MUGA with two goal recesses and an acrylic-coating finish. 3m high weldmesh fencing with 1.2m rebound boards, pitch dividers and full floodlighting system were also installed.
