Set in the idyllic and picturesque surroundings of the Brecon Beacons, Blakedown resurfaced and modified two synthetic sports pitches for Powys County Council at Crickhowell High School.

The first pitch was modified from an original redgra surface which was completely dug up and removed, with a new drainage system and new sub-base installed. A 24mm Edel LSR sand-filled sports turf was then laid over a 15mm in-situ shockpad and engineered tarmac layer. Line markings were added for hockey, football and tennis.

The second pitch was upgraded from an existing 60m x 40m tarmac tennis court into a state-of-the-art rugby training pitch. A new drainage system was installed into the existing sub-surface and a 25mm in-situ shockpad laid. The playing surface is a 60mm Edel Touchdown 3G monofilament synthetic turf, providing the school with a World Rugby accredited facility ideal for their training program. Additional line markings were added for 5-a-side football and both pitches were completed with new three metre high perimeter fencing.
