New training facilities for Fulham FC

Fulham Football Club’s new training facility was opened by Richard Scudamore, Executive Chairman of the Premier League and Ged Roddy, Director of Football Development. An official plaque commemorating the occasion was revealed in the indoor training facility.

Fulham FC Foundation is a leading community charity building better lives through sport by providing meaningful education, employability, health, inclusion, environmental and sport programmes. Utilising the training ground facilities, the Foundation will deliver the practical element of its Football and Education programme.

This multi-disciplined project was split into seven distinct and separate areas:

  1. Site clearance & removal of the existing facilities

  2. New 5,900m2 indoor floodlit training facility

  3. LED floodlighting to the existing natural grass main pitch

  4. New 70 person spectator stand to the Arena pitch

  5. Provision of a new floodlit FIFA 2 star 3G pitch

  6. Creation of a new overflow car park

  7. Landscaping works to include acoustic barrier fencing

Blakedown were given responsibility by Fulham FC for the final design and implementation of the above to enable the client to achieve 'Elite Player Performance Plan' (EPPP) Status; whilst at the same time, having a Category 1 Academy Status venue as defined by the Football League.
