Blakedown Sport & Play was awarded a project by St Helens Borough Council to refurbish the existing 60m x 33m Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).

The work began with the removal of the existing artificial carpet and in-situ shock pad, followed by disposal offsite.

The tarmac base was then cleaned and repaired. After the repairs, a new 15mm in-situ shock pad was installed, and it was surfaced with Desso Trophy Smart (FIH Approved) sand-dressed carpet.

The new carpet features a striking design, with a green playing area, blue surround, and logo.
