St. Gregory the Great Primary School

In collaboration with a sports pitch consultant, Blakedown undertook the design and renovation of an existing multi-use games area measuring 76m x 43.9m.

The project commenced with the removal of the existing carpet, followed by the stabilization of the exposed base.

Specifically, 115mm of stone was stripped away, making room for a new geotextile membrane and geogrid. A new stone subbase was then imported and laid.

A 15mm in-situ shock pad was carefully installed atop the base, setting the stage for the application of the Lano S-Tec Connection sand-dressed surface.

The playing area boasts a vibrant green surface with a contrasting blue surround, featuring line markings tailored to accommodate both 7v7 and 5v5 pitches. Additionally, the project included the construction of a new footpath to complement the upgraded games area.
