Blakedown Sport and Play delivered the refurbishments of a 99m x 61m 3G AWP and two 60m x 35m tarmac MUGA’s.

The refurbishment of the full size 3G AWP included the lift and removal of the original playing surface and shockpad with disposal offsite. The original fencing was carefully retained.

Installation began with a 20mm insitu shockpad and Desso iQ3 Duo 60 carpet to meet FIFA Quality Pro and World Rugby standards. The 3G was finalised with football and rugby line markings followed by sand and SBR performance infill.

The refurbishment of the two tarmac MUGA’s included the sweep and clear of existing tarmac surface, piercing of 30mm diameter holes and stone fill. This was followed by the installation of 15mm insitu shockpad and surface of Trophy Smart sand-dressed carpet with blue surround and markings.
