Blakedown Sport and Play delivered a brand new sand-dressed hockey pitch and a resurface of a full-size 3G AWP, predominantly for football.

The installation of the new GEN 2 sand-dressed hockey pitch included associated groundworks, drainage, stone subbase, and a tarmac layer. New fencing, floodlighting, insitu shockpad, and a vibrant blue Edel TeX surface followed with sand infill. This is the first pitch of its kind installed in the UK.

Construction of the 3G football AWP included a lift and disposal of the original carpet, and the installation of new fencing and floodlights. The original shockpad was retained with a few small repairs, and a brand-new Edel Flash Blade 40-15 surface installed on top with football line markings, sand and SBR performance infill.

Additionally, a bike track, access paths, divider nets, a maintenance shelter were installed for the client to ensure this facility met their specific requirements.
