Blakedown Sport and Play was awarded a contract to construct a FIFA Quality 3G pitch with associated hardstanding.

The scope began with a trim & roll and herbicide application to the provided formation.

A comprehensive drainage system was installed, followed by a geotextile membrane, 250mm subbase, and 150x50mm flat-top kerbs. A 40mm single layer engineered base was added, followed by the installation of the FIFA Quality & Quality Pro-approved Edel Grass Flashblade 60mm 3G surface.

The pitch was fenced with 4.5m high perimeter fencing and a 1.2m high twin-bar rebound spectator fence. Additionally, Blakedown provided a 200 Lux LED floodlighting system, self-weighted football goals, and conducted performance testing.
