Blakedown collaborated with Fusion Project Management and Oaklands College, securing the project through a competitive tender to construct a cutting-edge 106m x 70m FIFA Quality 3G Pitch for football.

This was initially envisioned as an all-age facility, client specifications pivoted the design toward aligning with the FA Step Programme, elevating the pitch’s quality significantly.

Commencing with groundworks, Blakedown crafted a new access route, executed topsoil management, and implemented a specialised land drain system connecting to an existing on-site pond.

A layer of geotextile was added followed by robust subbase, and a PCC flat top kerb around the facility.

The installation of an elite AstroTurf Soccer XI Arena 60mm 3G Surface, a network of tarmac paths and technical areas, spectator barriers, high-security fencing, and a sophisticated 200 Lux LED Floodlighting system completed the state-of-the-art project.
